December 1: pavilions pass to the participants
EXPO 2027 director Danilo Jerinić said the handover of pavilions to international participants is expected by December 1, 2026 at the latest, and that some pavilions may be handed over earlier. The first four bus lines to the site are due to start running in mid-November.
For teams on the ground, that means intensive work in Belgrade starts in a few weeks, not a few months.

What this deadline means for your team
Your team goes on site
From handover on, you need people on the ground: a coordinator, technical crew, staff and someone who knows local suppliers.
Daily transport
Public bus lines to the site start in mid-November, but teams still need transfers, vans and equipment transport on their own schedule.
A short window to opening
Between handover and the May 15, 2027 opening there are about five and a half months for fit-out, printing, hiring and rehearsals.
